Earlier this year, one of our favorite Swedish brands, Sjöö Sandström, introduced a new 40mm automatic chronograph to their collection. Since then, they’ve been busy, as it looks like they’ve been working on a partnership with another Swedish company, MOTIKON. They’re all about pairing people with classic sports cars, so it’s fitting to pair in a chronograph.
Sjöö Sandström Royal Steel Chronograph MOTIKON Edition: what it is
At it’s heart, the Sjöö Sandström Royal Steel Chronograph MOTIKON Edition is their 40mm Royal Steel Chronograph. To make it custom to MOTIKON, they’ve actually created two versions. Both have turquoise dials (the signature color of MOTIKON), in two slightly different looks. One has the subdials done in turquoise as well, while the other has the subdials done in black, for a bit of a contrast; both have the MOTIKON logo above the 6 o’clock position, as well as a black date disc. Past that, these watches will be identical to the prior 40mm versions.

Wrapping things up
The Royal Steel Chronograph MOTIKON Edition was introduced at The Aurora, an exclusive car gathering in Sweden, just this past weekend. If you’d like to get one of these watches on your wrist, you can do so for 42.240 SEK (on a rubber strap) or 44.160 SEK (for the bracelet) (approximately $4,450 / $4650), wherever you’d find Sjöö Sandström locally, or of course directly from sjoosandstrom.com
