NAD C 3030 amplifier: now available
Vintage looks for modern applications
While I, by no means, consider myself an audiophile, I do appreciate good quality sound. With certain components, I can find myself getting drawn back to those fuzzy memories of the various audio equipment my dad had up on the shelf, complete with jumping needles and warmly glowing dials. Eventually, modern LCD displays replaced all of that, but all is not lost. With the NAD C 3030 amplifier, you can get those dancing needles while still being setup for modern audio needs.
NAD C 3030 amplifier: what it is
To anyone remotely familiar with audio gear from the 70s, the NAD C 3030 amplifier is going to look very familiar. You’ve got two VU meters giving you an active read on what’s going on, and classic LED color schemes to indicate what’s going on (red, yellow, and green; no blue or white here). Pair it with all the knobs, and this feels fit for a retro setup.
However, it’s also thoroughly modern. Along with the components that modern design brings, you’ve got things like Bluetooth and HMDI eARC connectivity that wasn’t even a thought back in the era that this amp is honoring. With 50W per channel, plus a dedicated subwoofer output, this is ready to be a central part of your A/V setup, allowing you to do all things like playing vinyl and CDs, streaming audio from your phone, and of course being a vital part of your streaming video playback on the TV.
Wrapping things up
While we are drawn to the vintage styling on the case of the NAD C 3030, the black finish on the exterior means it should integrate it most any audio setup. Plus the fact that it handles all of the modern inputs you might need, really extends the versatitility. If you like the look, but really want multi-room streaming, keep an eye out for the NAD C 3030S, which is coming later this year. For now, you’ll be able to find the NAD C 3030 for $1,199 from your authorized dealer. nadelectronics.com
