Mr Jones Watches has built a reputation on a simple idea. If everyone already carries a precise clock in their pocket, then a wristwatch has to do something else. It has to be interesting.

The new Daydreamer, designed by London-based artist Murugiah, leans fully into that idea. This is not a watch that tries to hide its intent. It is bright, dense, and a little disorienting at first glance. The dial is a shifting mandala of color, threaded together with clouds and motion, with a small illustrated figure, Muru, drifting through the scene as the minutes pass.

The time is still there, but you have to look for it. The red petal marks the hour. Muru points to the minutes. It works, but it asks you to slow down and read it rather than glance and move on.
