Luminox expands its Navy SEAL Chronograph line with the new 3587
Luminox has added a new reference to its long running Navy SEAL Chronograph series with the introduction of the Navy SEAL 3587. Built around the brand’s CARBONOX case material and equipped with Luminox Light Technology, the watch continues a design language that has defined the brand for more than three decades.
The connection between Luminox and the U.S. Navy SEALs dates back to 1992, when Nick North, then an Assistant Research, Development, Test and Evaluation Officer for the SEALs, approached the company with a requirement. The teams needed a watch that could remain readable during night operations without requiring external light or manual activation. Luminox responded with a watch built around its micro gas tube illumination system, which remains the defining feature of the brand today. In 2013, Luminox watches were again independently approved for SEAL use, reinforcing the relationship between the company and the special operations community.
