Chronomade launches a pair of watch-inspired phone accessories
Chronomade is launching a pair of clever phone accessories for lovers of exotic timekeeping tools. The first product, called the Escapement, features a large balance wheel and windable spring that simulates the motion of a watch mechanism for about 30 seconds. It’s a clever little addition to your iPhone or Samsung device and clocks in at $375.
More interestingly, the DUOURBILLON is a battery pack that “unwinds” itself as it loses charge, with three brass tubes that move up and down to show the amount of electricity in the device. It’s a clever take on reserve de Marche. I saw these devices at CES in Vegas and found them… interesting? I wouldn’t spend the money on one, but if you’re a fan of clockwork ephemera, you might want to give them a look.

Those are fun cases.
