Bremont Supermarine 500m Polar White: Tool Watch Meets Summer Style
Bremont doesn’t do flash for flash’s sake. Their watches are built to take a beating, endure long deployments, and still come out looking like they belong on a wrist in Mayfair. Their latest, the Supermarine 500m Polar White ($5,000 on a bracelet, $4,700 on rubber), is no exception. It’s not trying to be clever. It’s a proper dive watch, full stop.
We first saw the black-dial Supermarine 500m back in April. It was a clean, muscular release with a ceramic bezel and 904L steel case. Now Bremont is releasing the same rugged build in a striking new white dial version. Same specs, same bones, just dressed for summer.
Let’s get to it.
What’s New
The Polar White edition brings a bright 3D wave-textured dial with blue-emitting Super-LumiNova indexes and hands. That luminous contrast makes for excellent legibility, especially in darker waters. The dial ring is clean, the date is tucked at 3 o'clock, and the whole thing stays true to the Supermarine’s modern, no-nonsense look.
They’ve kept the 904L steel case, which is tougher and more corrosion-resistant than the more common 316L. There’s a black ceramic unidirectional bezel, a helium escape valve, and the usual robust case design Bremont fans expect. The engraved caseback shows off the world’s oceans, a subtle nod to where this watch belongs.
The movement is the BB64AH automatic, beating at 28,800 bph with a 56-hour power reserve. It’s not trying to reinvent the wheel, just keep the wheel turning—reliably.
On Wrist Options
You’ve got three strap choices here: the quick-release steel bracelet (also 904L), a chevron-patterned rubber strap, or a woven NATO. The bracelet continues Bremont’s use of their distinctive infinity-link design with alternating polished and satin links. It’s a strong look, but if you’re planning to get this thing wet often, the rubber strap is a smart choice.
Case dimensions hold steady at 43mm wide, 50mm lug-to-lug, and just under 13mm thick. It’s not slim, but that’s the price of a proper 500m dive rating. Lug width is a standard 22mm.
Final Thoughts
The white dial gives this Supermarine a totally different feel. It reads sportier, maybe even a touch dressier, but it doesn’t sacrifice any of the technical capability. You could wear this with a wetsuit or a white linen shirt and it’d feel just as appropriate.
The Supermarine 500m Polar White is available now. It’s not cheap, but if you’re looking for a watch that actually earns its tool watch badge—and does it in style—this one’s worth a look.
