Bremont MB Meteor Gets Its Mojo Back with the Return of the Orange Barrel
Bremont doesn’t tend to revisit old designs unless it has a point to make. And with the new $6,600 MB Meteor in orange, the point is clear: some things are worth bringing back.
The latest iteration of the MB Meteor reintroduces the orange knurled barrel that once defined the MBII—a design choice that helped put Bremont on the map in the pilot watch world. It’s not just a throwback. It’s a signal that the brand is confident enough to celebrate its past without falling into retro parody.
This isn’t just cosmetic either. The MB Meteor itself, introduced earlier this year, already leaned hard into performance: Grade 2 titanium case, a slimmed-down Trip-Tick construction, better legibility, and a versatile, field-ready build. Now they’ve added back the orange barrel, this time with a Cerakote® ceramic-polymer coating that’s built to take abuse. That finish is no joke. Bremont says it had to strike the right balance between boldness and endurance, and from what we’ve seen, the orange holds its own without looking toy-like.
Inside, you’ll find the BB14-AH automatic movement with a 68-hour power reserve and 24 jewels. The open case back shows off the rotor. The movement is housed in a 42mm titanium case with a sapphire crystal and 100 meters of water resistance. At 53 grams, it's about as light as you can expect without going full plastic.
The dial comes in black or silver, with brushed metal finish, applied markers, and Super-LumiNova for nighttime readability. The red-tipped seconds hand still ends in that signature pullcord tail—an inside nod to the Martin-Baker ejection seat heritage. The Roto-Click internal bezel, operated by the crown at 4 o'clock, adds another layer of pilot function without over-complicating things.

CEO Davide Cerrato summed it up plainly: the orange barrel isn’t just design nostalgia—it’s part of the brand’s identity. And in an era when brands chase minimalism to the point of boredom, it’s good to see someone put color back on the table with purpose.
The MB Meteor with the orange barrel is available now with a choice of titanium bracelet, rubber, leather, or NATO strap. It's not cheap, but you weren’t expecting it to be.
Verdict? This isn’t for casuals. But for those who want a tool watch with history, guts, and a flash of attitude, this version of the Meteor might be the best yet.
