Bluesound PULSE FLEX
Available next month
If you’re like us, sound is a part of your daily routine. Whether it’s music, podcasts, audiobooks, or even watching shows and movies, we’re impacted by the quality of the sound we hear. If you’re using earbuds or headphones, that’s a bit more controlled, and you can get surprising quality from those small things. When it comes to filling a room - or rooms - then things become trickier. Sure, we all have bluetooth speakers that work in a pinch, but what if you want something that looks like it’s actually ready to take up permanent residence? That’s where the Bluesound PULSE FLEX comes in.

Bluesound PULSE FLEX: what it is
In looking through the marketing materials, this speaker is a cross between the ubiquitous bluetooth speaker and the classic high fidelity bookshelf speaker. It does need to be plugged into the wall to work, but after that, you can be fully wireless (there is an analog/optical input if you prefer to be wired, or USB-C). Once you’ve got the speaker on your network (wired or WiFi), the world opens up.
You can stream through 23+ different services through the BluOS controller app, as well as access internet radio, your own music, as well as music you may have stored on a networkl-attached storage device. For that matter, you could even plug in the good ol’ thumb drive to have it start playing music. In other words, however you’ve got your sound files sourced, this little guy should play them.

Why opt for this?
That’s a fair question. We feel the Bluesound PULSE FLEX has a few things going for it. For starters, it looks like it belongs in a refined environment, which your standard bluetooth speakers can sometimes have trouble doing. Secondly, even used as a single unit, you’ll have quality sound via the 4” woofer and 0.75” tweeter, courtesy of the on-board amplifier. Finally, this is a speaker that’s built to be part of an environment that can be expanded. Want multi-room sound? This can be part of that. Want stereo sound in one room, or to extend your surround sound setup? This can do it. Start small, and expand the footprint over time as needs (and budget) dictate.
Wrapping things up
If you’d like to get the Bluesound PULSE FLEX reproducing some high-quality audio at your place, you’ll be able to do that starting next month. The speaker will be available starting December 16, 2025, at a price of $349 ($399 CAD). They’ll be coming in three colors (white tan, black charcoal, or white pebble grey), so figure out what fits your decor. Of course, while these are able to work as a single (mono) speaker, you can also pick up a second one, pair them together, and have stereo sound. Or, if you have a bluetooth soundbar, the Bluesound PULSE FLEX can be used as a surround channel. Whatever the setup, this looks like an affordable way to checkout the Bluesound ecosystem.
