Welcome back to our weekly roundup of some interesting articles I’ve run across on the web this week, as well as a look back at some of our more popular posts of the past week.
Last week, we brought you word of Xetum’s latest model, the Tyndall PVD Carbon Fiber. While our post relied on the basic information provided, the folks over at Perpetuelle were able to get some hands-on time with this new limited edition. Our next article covers a brand that I’ve admired from afar – Harry Winston. Their Opus series of watches have been some amazing pieces, both in terms of the engineering involved, as well as the pure artistry of what they present. In an article over on the WatchUSeek forums, Joshua Munchow covers the Opus 7 in amazing detail. Even if you’re only slightly interested in this brand, I suggest you check out what Josh has to say. source
Back to our own pages, our most recent review of an Ocean7 watch, the LM2 V2 has caught a lot of your eyes. In our review, we talk about how the titanium impacted the overall design (light weight!), as well as what that internal bezel nets you (spoiler: it’s a great big domed crystal with minimal edges). Finally, we’ve got a review from John from all the way back in 2009 on the Sturhling Centurion. In his own inimitable way, John walks us through the pros and cons of this particular watch, and even drops some knowledge on how to find it for about 1/4 of the MSRP. I’m not sure if this watch is still available, but if you run across one for sale somewhere, this could help you make your choice.
