While I can’t claim to have been to all of the National Parks, I’ve enjoyed the ones that I have been able to visit. One thing that I am very much a fan of is that they’ve embraced the the retro 50s/60s vibe in the artwork that they create for each park. If you are the same, then you just might be a fan of the dials of the new Timex National Parks watches.
What they are
The watches themselves are fairly basic quartz models, aimed at being durable and ready for the outdoors. The 40mm case is made of a light (and durable) resin, and is topped with an acrylic crystal. Pair it to the textile strap (which itself has a hook-and-loop closure), and you’ve got a watch that’s ready to head outside. Oh, and it has a 50m WR rating, so you can do some swimming, just don’t get too carried away.
The Timex National Parks dials
The dials they’ve put on the Timex National Parks watches are really where these designs stand out, in my book. They’ve made designs for six different parks:
- Yellowstone
- Rocky Mountain
- Zion
- Acadia
- Great Smoky Mountains
- Grand Canyon
The artwork they say is postcard-inspired, and I could see that. To me, these park logos look like the sort of design I’d be looking for on a t-shirt or hoodie that I’d want to take home as a souvenir of my visit.
Wrapping things up
If you’d like to put one of these six designs (or more, we’re not judging) on your wrist, they’re all available now, for $65 each. You can check out the full collection, and order yours, directly at timex.com
