Back in 2021, we brought you word of the “most Timex Timex”, the Giorgio Galli S1 (seen here and here), and then in 2023, we talked about the Giorgio Galli S2 (which was here). Well, now we’re reaching the end of the S Series, which means there’s one more release – the Timex Giorgio Galli S2Ti.
Timex Giorgio Galli S2Ti: what it is
Well, if you’re familiar with the Giorgio Galli S2, this watch is going to feel pretty familiar. In fact, the basic design is identical, in terms of case profile, sizing, and so on. The first noticeable change is the dial color, done here in raw titanium. Which brings us to the other major change – the case itself is done in titanium, which should be lighter (and stronger) than the prior steel models.
The movement
While the prior release just stated that it had a Swiss automatic movement, the Timex Giorgio Galli S2Ti very clearly states that it’s relying on the Sellita SW200-1 movement. It’s well-known, and widely used. We’re just surprised that Timex didn’t develop their own movement to cap off this series.
What Timex says about the watch
The Giorgio Galli S2Ti redefines sophistication, seamlessly blending contemporary design with exceptional durability. It’s crafted with a light and compact 38mm titanium case reinforced by a forged carbon fiber mid-case and crowned with a domed, anti-reflective sapphire crystal that spans edge-to-edge.
The clean and modern dial is finished in titanium satin and elevated with an impeccably polished silver-tone handset and an applied stainless-steel ring hour track that’s simply notched to mark the hours. Fashioned entirely from solid titanium, the bracelet features the innovative I-Size system for effortless resizing without the need for tools and a custom-designed deployant clasp, also in titanium.
Wrapping things up
The Timex Giorgio Galli S2Ti just released today (January 28, 2025) and is going only going to be made available in 500 pieces (so, fairly limited for a Timex release). We felt that prior S-series models were reaching a bit on price, and the S2Ti takes it even further, laying claim to a pricetag of $1,950. It’s an interesting design, but we’re not sure that the usage of titanium and the Sellita justify that jump. If you think otherwise, you’ll be able to get all the details, and order your own, over at timex.com
