It has simple hands, and a simple dial.
In black, or in white.
Housed in rose gold, or in silver, it exists in 36mm,
or lives larger at 40mm.
It will arrive at your house in a wooden box recycled from Balinese shipping boats, never to sail again. It
will be cradled in hay, like the cargo shipped in days now passed.
This watch has a helm on its dial to remind the wearer with a whisper, “you are in command.”
As if you needed to be reminded.
The movement is a Swiss made Ronda, with 5 jewels and gold plating. The battery sends electricity to the quartz crystal through an electronic circuit, oscillating at exactly thirty-two-thousand-seven-hundred-sixty-eight times each second. It hertz to count that frequently per second.
There are two movements used, a Ronda 784 and a 704. They are each needed to support the two sizes of case that shelter them.
You, the wearer, are not a spectator in life, but you view the watch like you view missed opportunities – through a hard, sapphire lens, protecting time and the past from you- visible, but apart.
Hold tighter, to keep from being thrown to the wolves.
Strap the helm to your wrist with the skin of animals, stained with the colors of fruits and barks. It’s kinder to your skin, but no less harsh to the animals, who gave their hide. Available in ten colors.
The weight and size will not weigh heavily. It is 7 mm thick. Available in two sizes, with or without a date option. Water-resistant to 5 atmospheres.
