It’s Saturday, so that means it’s time for another edition of Watching the Web. Here, we highlight interesting articles we come across on other sites, as well as identify which of our own recent articles were the most popular over the last week or so. For this week, we have some high-end Hermes straps, a hand-engraved Rolex Milgauss, and a new rounded-off Trintec Zulu. From our pages, it’s the Matt show, with his posts on the Lew & Huey Phantom, Chronos Wearable, and Top 5 Picks articles taking the top honors.
I am a fan of Trintec, after finding one of their designs on Kickstarter, then reaching out to the brand for a review on the Zulu-03, the same watch we have up for our current monthly give-away. The brand built the first aviation instrument inspired clock, and now makes aviation and nautical inspired watches and clocks. Their latest watch, the Trintec Zulu-07 Professional, is currently on Kickstarter.
For February, you have your chance to win a Trintec Zulu-03.
With the holiday season in full swing, the holiday deals are coming fast and furious. While Touch of Modern (join here for free if you are not a member) does sales all the time, we are seeing more watches right now, and it seems like a good idea to pass the opportunities on to you, our dear readers. Starting today, Trintec goes on sale at the site, with discounts of 37% on several of their quartz and automatic watches.
There are a whole lot of companies out there making modern aviation inspired watches. There is one company that has been doing it longer, and doing little else, and that is Trintec. I contacted them when I was reviewing their recent Kickstarter campaign, and they were nice enough to loan me one for their production watches for review, the Trintec Zulu-03.
Trintec Industries Inc. lays claim to being the first company to produce modern aviation instrument themed watches, dating back 30 years. Now, I don’t want to wade into debate here, but they make a pretty decent argument. And with that, they also make a pretty cool looking watch. With their current Kickstarter campaign, they are also making two interesting 30th anniversary watches, the altimeter inspired 9060SE and the airspeed indicator inspired 9061SE.
