So, if you’ve been around here awhile, you know we like to customize things. You also are…
When it comes to Kickstarter projects, it takes something well out of the ordinary to make the dark, cynical hearts of us watch editors (at least here at WWR) to take notice. Then you have something like the Uriel Geneqt GE001 cufflinks come along, and you just have to rub your eyes, wondering if you’re in a dream (feverish or otherwise).
If it hasn’t been obvious, I find that watches are a great way to accent or support…
As of late, we have expanded our coverage into the world of mens style. In the past,…
As you’re no doubt aware, we here at WWR have started to broaden our focus. Yes, watches…
I have been on a bit of a jacket kick as of late. Not so much in…
When it comes to watches, we have a tendency to pore over, even obsess, about the details. Sure, at some higher level we can have some sort of a gut reaction to a watch (positive or negative), but as we spend some time with it, we find ourselves down in the details of the watch. For instance, handset sizing, or the type and style of indices on the dial. You know where else the details matter? In your own personal style.
As you saw earlier this week, we are venturing into the world of Men’s Style. That made this article from our pals over at Everyday Carry just about a slam dunk. Now that springtime has arrived in the northern hemisphere, they have recommendations for some gear you might consider picking up.
If you stop and think about it, watches really are an accessory. Yes, they are extremely useful accessories, but they are add-ons to what we wear, are they not? If we pull on that thread of reasoning, then, the topic of watches, and what watch you wear, is really an extension of what might be called Men’s Fashion, or Men’s Style. To that end, we here at WWR thought it would make sense to start taking a look at items from the world of Men’s style, hopefully in scenarios where it’s somehow related to the watch world. In this case, we had a perfect stop-off point for our first foray – Filson. They have been making watches with Shinola, which are largely an extension of the great product catalog they have built up. That means that, for our inaugural Men’s Style post, we will take a look at the Filson Short Cruiser.
