When it comes to truly old school designs, I must admit that I am a fan of the regulator watch. While it was originally used for timing and setting other watches back in the day, I think that it still has a purpose these days. While there are scenarios where you might need to be mindful of the hour of the day, we generally have a good feel for that. More commonly, it seems that where we are within an hour is the more critical element, and that is where a regulator shines. With that setup, let’s have a look at the newly launched Tissot Le Locle Automatic Regulateur.

I like talking about local watch makers, and I also like bringing you word of cool watch-related events that are coming to my neck of the woods. Tissot is making a lot of noise around their new partnership with the NBA. At the moment, we do not have much in the way of new designs or team-specific watches, but they are working to get the word out about the relationship.

As should be no surprise to anyone reading this site, BaselWorld is well underway, with all manner of announcements being made about new and interesting watches. This year, Tissot actually had five different collections that were launched or extended. While items like the T-Touch and MotoGP watches get most of the attention, I was intrigued by a different set of watches – the Tissot Vintage.
