A decade ago – when SevenFriday was new on the scene – they introduced a trio of watches that put bold monochromatic blasts of color on their P-series watches. While the basic case shape and design aesthetic is the same today, they’ve gone back to those colored designs, and have now introduced them on the PS-series.

Now, we’re well aware that SevenFriday is no stranger to using color (just look at our last review). It’s this full-blown commitment to a single color throughout the case, strap, and dial, that’s the difference here.
While it’s bold, it also comes across as a little more sedate – in some ways – than some of their other, busier, designs. Here’s what they say about this latest release:
This new chromatic range has matured and now benefits from the learnings and refinements acquired over our decade-long journey. Nestled in the more technical PS range, the watches’ animation ring is made of a special combination of carbon fibre and coloured resin, the latter matching the dial, strap colour and the Berlac filled bezel.
The dial retains its complicated multi-layered design, now with added honeycomb cutouts and skeletonized sections and is protected by a sapphire crystal. The crown, not just fancy with its coloured logo, but useful as it screws down to prevent any unwanted water ingress.
These are an interesting addition to the lineup, particularly if you’re a fan of an aesthetic that 7F is putting out there. Now, for the bad news – even at at price of $1,791 and just being introduced last week, the first batch is already sold out (we’re told more are coming).
