It’s a new year, which means it’s time for some new limited-edition versions of Seiko Astron GPS Solar designs.
Seiko Astron GPS Solar: what’s new about these LEs?
The big thing we’ve got going on here with the Seiko Astron GPS Solar 2025 limited editions is in the color scheme. This year, they’re drawing inspiration from cherry blossoms at bloom under a starry sky. This means you’ve got a gradient purple dial with glittering elements in there. To complement that royal hue, the titanium case and bracelet are done in a dark hue (that’s also scratch resistant), helping it to stay looking like the day you took it out of the box.
What models are there?
There are two versions for the 2025 edition of the Seiko Astron GPS Solar, with 1500 being made available of each. There’s the three-handed SSJ029 keeping things simple, rugged and refined, and then the SSH171 that sets you up for globe trotting with the chronograph and second time zone functionality, among other goodies. Both of these watches use movements that have been in other models, so they’re known quantities; you can check out full specs down below.
