Sometimes, a gadget comes along that completely redefines how we experience an everyday object. The Klydo Clock is one of those devices. This isn’t just a clock; it’s an electronic, animated timepiece that adds an aesthetic and functional upgrade to any space.

The clock is about a foot tall and seven inches thick. It has two high resolution screens, one on top to show the hands and another to show the swinging pendulum. The entire clock changes as you scroll through potential faces, from the whimsical to the realistic to the psychedelic.

Setup

Setup was dead simple. You take it out of the box, plug it in, and use the included rechargeable remote to enter your WiFi password using an arguably clunky scrolling method. Once connected, however, the clock sets itself and allows you to modify the clock ticking sounds and chimes as well as turn off the screen and sounds at a set time.

The clock runs on a standard USB-C adapter, making it incredibly easy to set up. It supports both USB-C 12-volt power sources and standard wall outlets, so you can plug it in wherever it’s most convenient.

Features and Functionality

One of the Klydo Clock’s biggest selling points is its wealth of display options. With dozens of animations to choose from—including holiday themes, birthday greetings, and abstract visuals—you can change the look to fit your mood or occasion. You control everything with a simple remote, making customization effortless. The animations are really nice. The screens are high enough resolution that many look super realistic and very fun. They have a few oddball selections including Steamboat Willie-era Mickey Mouse and the dancing food from “Let’s All Go To the Lobby” cartoons but darn it if I’m not in love with the whole concept.

Final Thoughts

At $299, the Klydo Clock is an investment, but one that delivers a unique blend of digital innovation and classic timekeeping charm. It’s a conversation starter, a functional timepiece, and a decorative element all in one. If you’re looking for a desk or wall clock that offers more than just numbers on a screen, the Klydo is worth checking out.
