At this point, we’re dangerously close to just anointing Timex as the king of collaborations. We saw one drop last week (which we wrote about here), and now we’ve got another. This time, they partnered up with Dutch menswear brand Pop Trading.
On one hand, this is the 36mm Timex MK1 that we should be familiar with. On the other, it’s easy to see that the dial is anything but standard. For this release, the hours were all shifted over by one, making for a watch that isn’t easily read at a glance, at least until your brain gets attuned to what you’re seeing. In Pop’s eyes, this is perfect for the skateboarder; we say it’s a solid way to panic someone into thinking they’re really late for an appointment.
