Now, we know, you weren’t expecting to see the words “diesel” and “solar” next to each other, as those are – usually – diametrically opposed forms of energy. Here, of course, it’s the fashion brand taking those photons that are out there for free and using them to power a trio of watches.
The three watches on offer are instantly identifiable as coming from Diesel. For starters, the brand logo shows up prominently on the strap, which fortunately is color-matched against the case and dial. So, if red is your favorite color, you’re all setup here.
You’re even set across a variety of case sizes. The smallest one is the Cliffhanger ($170) coming in at a 37x47mm case. Next up in sizing you’ve got the Baby Chief ($190) at 43x50mm, complete with the large metal flange over the crown. Finally, you’ve got the heavyweight, the Framed ($210) at 50x56mm. Regardless of the sizing, the case is made from castor oil (a more eco-friendly alternative to plastic), the strap features #tide ocean plastic materials, and all three have – presumably – the same solar movement.
