Back in March, I did a hands on review of the LIV Rebel which was their third extremely successful Kickstarter campaign. Their first Kickstarter was fully funded in only 11 hours. The second brought in more than 1.1 million dollars, and their third took in over 1.7 million. These are some of the most successful watch Kickstarter campaigns ever. Now LIV is at it again with four new watches: The GX P51 Swiss Auto Chronograph, GX Swiss Auto Chronograph, GX Divers Swiss Automatic, and the GX Alarm. Lets check out these new pieces and help get this campaign going.
GX P51 Swiss Auto Chronograph
The LIV GX P51 is dedicated to the P51 Mustang fighter planes from WW2. The case is constructed of titanium, ceramic bezel, and a sapphire crystal (front and back). It features a 25 jewel Swiss automatic movement, the Sellita SW 500. There are three chronograph sub dials on this watch for hours, minutes, and seconds. Date window is at the 3 o’clock position and shows both day and date. Water resistance is 100 meters. Super early bird prices start at $1,170 USD. There will also be a non-titanium version in stainless steel for a super early bird price of $970 USD.
GX Swiss Auto Chronograph
This LIV GX Swiss Auto Chronograph takes inspiration from their first Kickstater for the GX1 Swiss Chronograph. Many of the fans of the GX1 were begging for that model in an automatic. LIV has listened and took same design and threw in a 25 jewel Swiss automatic movement (Sellita SW 500). Now you can enjoy the same look of the GX1 but with that nice sweeping hand. Oh so nice. There is a little change to the sub dial locations, but essentially this is the same as the GX1 and that’s a good thing. Super early bird prices start at $770 USD.
GX Divers Swiss Automatic
Serious diver rejoice! This is not your average desk diver. This GX Divers Swiss Automatic is made to go to work, under water. The case is made from 316L stainless steel with 300 meter/1000 feet water resistance, a ceramic rotating bezel, and a sapphire crystal with cyclops over the date. This watch is just itching to get in the water. Powered by a 25 jewel Swiss automatic movement (ETA 2824) you will never worry about your battery going dead at depth. The dial has this wave pattern that totally fits the divers theme. There are some great dial and strap color options that will complement your dive gear. As as diver, I am really liking this one. Super early bird prices start at $470 USD.
GX Alarm
If you are looking for a more budget friendly model, this LIV GX Alarm might be what you need. This watch features a RONDA 4120.B quartz movement with a battery life of 50 months. Case is made from 316L stainless steel with a sapphire crystal covering the dial. Water resistance is a 100-meters which is fine for non divers. The best part of this quartz movement is the fact this it as an alarm feature. The dial features two sub dials for the alarm feature and small seconds. There is a dual window date located at the 6 o’clock position. Super early bird prices start at $270 USD.
Overall Impression
This LIV Kickstarter has a watch for just about everyone. If you like aviation watches, you can get the GX P51. Us divers and even desk divers will enjoy the GX Divers Swiss Automatic. Want a cool looking chrono? They have the GX Swiss Auto Chronograph. If you want a more budget friendly watch with a cool feature you can choose the GX Alarm.
