Lew & Huey are back at it again, with their sixth watch project launched on kickstarter. This time, the Lew & Huey Legends Racer is a square case design that harkens back to the look of the Tag Heuer Monaco, with a bit of the look of the Tudor Heritage Chrono.
For a lot of guys, a diver is the default tool watch. The cases are usually fairly beefy, and that translates to masculine, the watches themselves are rugged, they serve a purpose, and they broadcast to the world that you are a man of action. So you might as well inject a little style into the watch as well. That is where the Lew & Huey Orthos comes in with their latest Kickstarter campaign. These ‘friends of the site’ have put their fifth model up for sale, and the first true diver of the bunch.
We’re on a bit of a Lew & Huey streak here, coveringquite a few of their watches. We’ve also been fortunate to be in a unique position with the brand, being able to spend time with prototypes (and, eventually, the production version) of their watches. Given that, we’re able to give you a hands-on take on their latest project – the Lew & Huey Cerberus.
If you think you have seen the Acionna by Lew & Huey on our pages already, you would be correct. I wrote up the Kickstarter project for the site back when I was still a “friend of the site,” and Patrick had a chance to spend a little time with a prototype. Now that they are in production, the company sent over a pair of watches for a final hands-on review.
For anyone who spends any amount of time checking out the watch projects on the various crowd-funded sites, you’re not doubt familiar with the Lew & Huey brand, which started up in 2012. They just wrapped up funding one of their latest models, the Acionna, and they’ve sent over one of their prototypes for us to spend some time with. Read on to get our hands-on take on this new watch.
