When it comes to watch brands that call Chicago home, we’ve got more than a few. And when it comes to companies making adult beverages, again, Chicago has plenty of options there. What if you could bring those two together? Well, that’s when you get the Oak & Oscar Olmsted FEW.
If you’ve been to any Oak & Oscar events, you know that the founder, Chase Fancher, is a fan of brown spirits. Fittingly, then, that he’s friends with the fellow at the head of FEW Spirits. For this collaboration, there are some very nice touches that make this watch different from the other Olmsted models.
Oak & Oscar Olmsted FEW: Dial
First, of course, is that salmon dial. This is the first time that this hue has made it onto an Oak & Oscar watch, which is surprising given how popular the color has been on dials for the past few years. Then again, just like you need to age a bourbon to mellow it, well, this was an idea that needed to hit when the time was right.
On that dial, you’ve got the FEW logo making an appearance. Flip the watch over, and you’ve got a literal piece of the production process there. The Oak & Oscar team selected a barrel, which then got handed to a woodworker to produce 50 wooden coins, which are then set (one per watch) under the glass of the exhibition caseback.
Oak & Oscar Olmsted FEW: Price
For those purchasers 21-and-over, you’ll also be gifted a bottle of Bottled in Bond Bourbon, which is a nice treat to go along with the $1,850 price tag. Do note – only 50 of these are being made, so if you’re a fan of all things Chicago, you’ll want to move on these. The order page is up, and will ship out to you just as soon as you’ve paid the piper. oakandoscar.com
