When we first became aware of Nomadic Watches – and the designs they were producing – we quickly became fans. It is safe to say, though, that the prior designs were intended for those who liked wearing a larger diameter watch. What about those who prefer a more compact (sub-40mm) sizing? That’s where the new Nomadic Cíor 928 comes in.

Nomadic Cíor 928: what it is

At it’s core, the Nomadic Cíor 928 is what happens when a watch designer sets about to create a watch that would be a perfect fit for his mom, but also be one that he’d be happy to wear. The simple path would be to take an existing design and shrink it down, but that’s not what you have here.

This 36mm is it’s own design, including the first integrated bracelet we’ve seen from the brand. There are some elements on the dial that will be familiar (the font and handset used) but otherwise, this is truly it’s own thing. For us, we particularly like the multiple patterns in the dial, as well as the overall very clean presentation.

The hard specs

Just because the Nomadic Cíor 928 was designed to a smaller size does not mean that it’s any less competent of a watch as compared to their other designs. Sure, water resistance dropped to 50m, but that’s the only concession. Inside, you have the Sellita SW260-1 taking care of timekeeping duties, the dial features X1-grade Superluminova, and you’ve got sapphire crystals, front and back. Everything is here for an eminently superb watch, and we like what Nomadic is presenting in this release.

Note: in the photos below, you’ll see a Mozsly watch winder, which we reviewed here
