The Bulova CURV line has been around a for a bit, and has even had a chronograph in the lineup before (which we reviewed here). While that earlier one we reviewed felt very sporty and technical, this new version of the Bulova CURV Chronograph feels a good bit more classic.
As soon as you see skeletonized hands – even if they’re partially lumed, like they are here – it feels you’re moving in a dressier direction. While the green dial version of the Bulova CURV Chronograph feels perhaps a bit more casual, the grey with rose gold accents, or black with yellow gold, those are definitely taking things a bit more upscale, in terms of appearance.

And the Bulova CURV Chronograph is all about appearance. You don’t make a movement to fit into a curved case to shy away from showing that off. Why would you, the reader, care about it? Aside from the technical achievement, it’s also a matter of comfort, allowing the larger 44mm case to snug in more closely to your wrist.
That is also helped by the new bracelet they’ve got here. At first glance, it seems almost integrated to the case. The lugs curve down from the case, and the curve of the bracelet picks it up. When you look between the lugs, you’ll notice that the center link is not actually up against the case – it’s a bit free-floating there. It’s a unique look, and one we think you’ll want to see in person to see if it works for you.
