The first Streamliner from H. Moser & Cie. came out during the pandemic and was an instant hit. The case, the movement, and the design were all unique in the watch world, reminiscent of a Nautilus but with smoother lines. The chrono was uniquely understated with a single recording hand. In short, it was a lovely piece. The Moser & Cie. Streamliner Flyback Chronograph v2 Wristwatch is even lovlier.
Designed around the Calibre HMC 907 movement, the piece has a 34.4mm face and shows elapsed minutes and seconds with a flyback feature.
From the release for the Moser & Cie. Streamliner Flyback Chronograph v2 Wristwatch:
The epitome of fluidity, with its geometric lines and dynamic forms, the collection has perfectly rounded curves which evoke the very first high-speed trains from the Twenties and Thirties whose name it adopts. Boldly combining minimalist codes with the contemporary elegance that is the cornerstone of H. Moser & Cie.’s reputation, the design took inspiration from its integrated steel bracelet.
“The Streamliner draws a connection between our history, which dates back almost 200 years, and a very promising future. Since we acquired the brand in 2012, we have increased annual production fivefold and turnover eightfold, and our profitability as a group greatly exceeds that of the average Swiss watch company.
The Streamliner collection has been a formidable boost, but we are taking care to maintain a balance between our four lines, each of which has its own personality and characteristics,” said Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie.
Moser & Cie. Streamliner Flyback Chronograph v2 Wristwatch: Price
It’s a lovely piece and costs CHF 45,000 which is about $49,364 USD, which makes it a bit of a bummer. That said, look at that movement.
