When you think of Liv Watches, your mind is probably picturing their Rebel lineup (reviewed here), which is certainly an iconic look, and a case shape we’ve come to expect from the brand. For their latest – the Liv P-51 – they’ve gone with a more traditional round case.

As it turns out, this year is the 81st anniversary of the first P-51 flight (more about the plane here). Is that a weird anniversary to celebrate? Sure is! But hey, brands have celebrated odder marks in time, and Liv does things a bit their own way, so we’ll allow it.

That said, as you can see by the specs below, the Liv P-51 does do things a bit more, well, pedestrian. You’ve got the ETA 7750 taking care of time and chronograph duties, a 100m WR rating, and a rather-large 46mm round case. That case is where things get a little different. Rather than going with steel, you’ve got titanium pressed into service, which should help to cut the weight a bit on this chunky watch. We’re also glad to see that the 120-click bezel is titanium, along with a lumed ceramic insert.

For this release, there are three versions being released (our favorite? The light blue ‘Cripes A’ Mighty’) version. Each of the three will be limited to 1000 pieces each, and are available directly from Liv for $1,370. livwatches.com
