If you’ve been listening to the Hourtime Podcast, you know that John has no love lost for the so-called hypebeasts that run up the pricing on all manner of consumer goods, including our beloved watches. Now, in my house, we’re all about Peanuts. My oldest has been a huge Peanuts and Snoopy fan since she started reading and discovered the books at library. And myself, I’m not immune to a good Snoopy watch, as they tend to be fun designs.
Hypebeast x Bamford x Peanuts GMT Limited Edition: Case
For the Hypebeast x Bamford x Peanuts GMT Limited Edition, the design started out as, well the Bamford GMT watch, which brings along the Sellita SW330-2 movement, along with a 40mm titanium case. For this design, of course, you’ve got Snoopy showing up in some of his classic sporty duds. What’s great here is that the design works well as a simple black-and-white line drawing on the dial, that then turns into an almost full-lume dial when the lights go down.

For an extra dose of whimsy, the Hypebeast x Bamford x Peanuts GMT Limited Edition comes in a watch box that looks like Snoopy’s dog house, except made of a recycled ocean plastic. There’s a lot to like about this limited edition release, though we have a feeling the $2,055 price tag might give all but the most serious of Peanuts collectors some pause.
