When we’ve written about Triwa watches in the past, we’ve focused on models that were usually designed for men’s wrists, or – at best – unisex. With their latest “Time For…” release (which has covered a wide variety of initiatives) the spotlight is put on the women of the world. Meet the Triwa Time for Power.
More than just another compact watch for smaller wrists (which, the Triwa Time for Power is at 23x33mm), this is a watch that is intended to support women. Both from the design elements (more on that below), but also for the fact that 10% of the proceeds go to the NGO Girl Up. In terms of the design, here’s what it’s doing to be women-oriented:
Time for Power comes in two different colors; silver and gold. It is filled with symbolic references to the
cause, such as a subtle women’s symbol on the dial , the engraved “YOU GOT THIS” quote on the case
and the classic TRIWA smiley on the crown. The watch has a three dimensional sun ray pattern on the dial and a square back plate with Time for Power on it.
