We like to feature Touch of Modern sales here on WWR, for good reasons. They often have interesting timepieces at pretty decent discounts. The site does require you to sign up in order to buy, so if you have not done so already, you can join here. Right now on the site, they are featuring two interesting watch sales, one on a range of divers from Deep Blue, and the other on high end automatics from Azimuth. The Deep Blue divers are offered in both quartz and automatic, in both 3 hand and chronograph versions. The quartz three handers still offer a lot for the money, with 500 meters of water resistance, Swiss Ronda 715 movements, ceramic bezels, excellent lume, and sapphire crystals. The quartz versions start at a sale price of $199, a $100 discount from the retail price. There is a whole host of color variations available, including colored mother of pearl dials priced at $239.
If you are partial to automatics, the ToM sale has you covered here as well, with the 3 hand Miyota 9015 powered dive watch starting at $329, a savings of $170. The watch offers the same 500 meters of water resistance, a ceramic bezels, excellent lume, and a sapphire crystal. As with the quartz watches, there are a number of dial/bezel color combinations. If you want to go with a Swiss movement, the Aqua Expedition comes with a Sellita SW-200 for $639 and the DayNight Recon offers a ETA 2824-2 movement and tritium tubes for $769.
If your style runs more to chronographs, the site has options for you too, with both quartz and automatic versions. The Sea Ram Chrono offers a Ronda 5040 Swiss movement with all the other Deep Blue standard features for $299, a discount of $150. The tritium tube equipped DayNight Chronograph offers a Swiss Valjoux 28,800 VPH movement along with all the other features for $1,499, a $500 discount. There are limited quantities of both the Valjoux 7750 and Valjoux 7754 powered watches.
The sale on Deep Blue watches runs through October 22 at noon Pacific. Again, join the site here if you are not already a member. The other interesting sale, on Azimuth watches, runs through October 20 at noon Pacific. Perhaps timed to coincide with the new film “Fury,” there are 3 battle tank inspired watches for sale, all one a kind with titanium cases, customized ETA movements, and, shall we say, a unique design. The SP-1 Landships are $6,399. Also for sale are 48mm and 55mm Vintage B-Uhr inspired watches with 17 jewel hand wound movements. The watches have a flip open exhibition caseback and come in at a bit over $3,000 each.
