Almost two years ago, we brought you word of the Citizen TSUYOSA hitting our shores here in the States (seen here). If you liked the look, but thought the 40mm case diameter was just a touch too large, you are now in luck. Because, you see, the Citizen TSUYOSA 37mm is now a thing.
Citizen TSUYOSA 37mm: what it is
Well, that’s the easy part – just picture the 40mm original, shrink it 3mm, and you arrive at the Citizen TSUYOSA 37mm. You still have the stick handset and indices, cyclops over the date at 3 o’clock, and three-link bracelet. Basically, everything that we liked about the original, just scaled to fit smaller wrists.
What about the movement?
That’s the great thing about movements – with modern case sizes, they are often much smaller than what the case needs. So, you can shrink things down, and the same movement still gets the work done. In this case, it’s the Citizen Caliber 8210. It’s an automatic with a 42 hour power reserve; accuracy is -20 / +40 seconds per day.
Wrapping things up
Along with the new compact size, the Citizen TSUYOSA 37mm comes with some new dial colors – ice blue, pastel pink, and dark green. However you want to approach spring colors, you’re set, and the overall design is going to be spot-on for the office or dressier occasions. Pricing remains the same at $450; you can check out the full range (which has grown quite a bit over the past few years) directly at citizenwatch.com
