I think that it is safe to assume that, if you are reading articles here on WWR, you are in to watches. Yes, we all have our own favorite styles, complications, and brands, but it all falls under the umbrella of watches. Are you as in to watch straps are you are the watches themselves? I have come to realize that I am (Hi, my name is Patrick and I’m a burgeoning watch strap collector).
This has been quite the week for Visitor Watch Co. If you recall, I took at look at their inaugural offering, the Duneshore back in November of 2014. Since then, things have been in a bit of radio silence. Sure, the watch was available, but there had not been any word on a new model. Well, that silence has been broken, and in a big way. Starting on Monday of this week, Visitor Watch Co revealed a new product each day this week. Since the last item was revealed, I thought it worthwhile to take a look at everything that is coming out.
It really is amazing the number of options we have these days when it comes to looking for straps to swap in on your favorite watches. While our thoughts most often turn to textile and nylon straps for the summer, leather is still a viable option. Of course, you may not want it to be a heavier strap (link to 74 watchstraps), given the warmer weather. Striking a nice balance between thinness and toughness, we have a few options in for review from Artisan Strap Co.
Today, we have some great summertime strap options for you from Suigeneric and Crown & Buckle.
Mom has had her day, and my birthday has come and gone, but it is not too early to start thinking about gifts for dads, and since it is late spring, gifts for grads as well. In this Fathers Day gift guide, I am going to point out some of my favorite watches and accessories that have crossed our (real or virtual) desks over the last few months, organized by price.
It is no secret that one way to really change up the feel of a watch is to swap out the strap. I have changed one leather strap for another on some watches, and I have gone to nylon NATO as well, but I had not tried out a waxed cotton canvass product like the Suigeneric Straps. Well, I may be late to the party, but I am here now.
