Christopher Ward gets a fair bit of love here at WWR, mainly because they produce high quality, attractive watches at affordable price points. Now in their 10th year, the company is updating their line of dive watches, the Christopher Ward Trident Collection. The new collection offers four choices of movements, along with a number of other improvements and two case sizes.

Titanium seems to be a popular material for watches these days. At least, that is, for watches that have been crossing my desk. As we saw with the Tempest Commodore, titanium helps cut down the weight of a watch while still offering strength and durability. Today, we’ll take a look at another one that leverages those attributes, the Shinola Black Blizzard.

How do you create a brand identity in an industry as large and as old as watchmaking? Many brands have a go-to handset, some rely on logos, and yet others will use styling cues that carry over watch to watch. CT Scuderia is in that last camp, but they go further in their commitment that many others, with every watch in the line a bullhead style (though they do invert it for the Dashboard). The company was nice enough to lend me a second watch for a hands on review, the CT Scuderia Scrambler. The quartz chronograph is well made and pretty unique in the current marketplace.

Over the weekend Touch of Modern put up three new sales that I though would be interesting to our readers. If you have not visited the site, it is a member’s only, limited time sale site that highlights a lot of cool products to wear or have around the house, mainly catering to guys. If you are not yet a member, join here, if you are already a member, head straight to the product pages.

Bremont is one of those small, high end watch companies in Britain that is not very well known in the US. We have covered the brand a few times, and I highlighted the MBI/MBII a while back. New for November is the polished stainless steel version of their Classic Line, the Bremont ALT1-C /PW, joining the line that already sports a variety of colored dial versions and a rose gold case version.

Wow, is it Holiday season already? Halloween is behind us, Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and then comes Chanukah in early December, Christmas (on the tradition date, go figure..), and Chinese New Year in February. So we put our heads together at the site and present you, the dear reader, with our Wrist Watch Review Holiday Gift Guide. Not everyone has the same budget, so we are trying to put together options at several price points for each of the categories.

At best, I have a strained relationship with single-hand watches. My own preferences just lead me to want to know the exact time when I look at a watch, and that is something the single-handed variants are not keen on. They prefer you to know the time is a more relaxed method. So why am I telling you about the new MeisterSinger Circularis? Mainly because of the new movement it brings along.
