It’s the end of the year, so that means you will see all sorts of top lists…
It is that time, once again, for us to cast our eyes over to see what our pals at Everyday Carry have on tap. Which, when you think about it, a watch truly is an everyday carry sort of an item for most of us. Sure, it may not be the same watch every day, but admit it – your wrist feels funny when you don’t have a watch on it, doesn’t it? Of course, a watch is not the only thing you can carry, and today, we have two different roundups for what else you might consider – heavy-duty multitools, or non-locking pocket knives.
It is time once again for us to take a look at what our pals over at Everyday Carry are putting together. While we have tended to focus in more on pocket dumps than anything else, we have delved into some of their more gear-specific articles. That’s what we have today, actually, in the form of a two-fer.
It is time once again for us to take a look at what our friends over at Everyday Carry have on their pages, and today is a pocket dump from one of our hard-serving Army members.
This week for our look at Everyday Carry, our opportunity to pick the pocket of various people across the globe and see what they call essential, I have pocket dumps from a technologist and a business owner. First up is the post above, courtesy of Peter Thompson, Technologist. The watch he chose to share is Prometheus Jellyfish in titanium. While we have not had the Jellyfish in for a review, we have looked at a couple of Prometheus watches and find them to be well built and affordable divers.
Since we are a watch site, I thought I would point you toward a couple of Everyday Carry posts with watches that I like, and affordable watches to boot. First up is this post from a commercial photographer. The watch is a common recommendation for people just starting to explore mechanical and automatic watches, the Orient Bambino. The watch is mated to a nice 21mm NATO strap.
Well, it’s better late than never, right? For this week’s cross-post with Everyday Carry, we actually have a two-fer for you. First up, as you can see above, is a carry that many of us would be familiar with, and a chrono you may not be familiar with.
At the heart of things, watches really are, first and foremost, tools: they tell us the time….
It’s time for our bi-weekly look at what our friends over at Everyday Carry have been publishing, and we have something a bit different – a pair of pocket dumps that came across as pretty interesting mixes.
Our last couple of EDC posts took a look at the longer form articles and topics that Everyday Carry had produced. Today, we are going to get back to what is perhaps the most user-engaging feature, where users submit either a good-old “pocket dump” (where they empty the contents of their pockets and send in a photo), or an organized look at what users carry with them on a daily basis, which generally gets into things that are carried along in a bag as well (not just in the pockets).
