Curved is the new blackout dial. Now that fashion and the nerd world has fallen in love with Ikepod and Ressense case styles it’s obvious that smaller manufacturers should start looking more deeply at the style. BOLDR, a company from Singapore, is taking hints from the curved case crowd and adding in a decidedly unique design.
The watch runs a Seiko Mecha-Quartz VK64 and features welded lugs and there is a date window at 6 o’clock. The piece costs about $162 on Kickstarter and comes in multiple colors and styles.
The company has reached its Kickstarter goal and will ship in September. BOLDR is a cool idea with a cool design and it looks like things are about to get a lot more interesting thanks to new materials and methods for grinding crystals and casting cases.
