Dubbed “Madison Avenue,” New Watch is Exclusive to Brand’s
NYC Boutique

NEW YORK CITY, January 31, 2006 – Blancpain announced today the arrival of an exclusive, numbered and limited-edition watch created for its Madison Avenue Boutique here. The new model, christened “The Madison Avenue” after its flagship U.S. retail outlet, is limited to 20 pieces: 10 are in white gold and 10 in red gold – a Blancpain signature.
In keeping with the brand’s 270-year tradition of innovation, this new model celebrates the brand’s boutique with a full calendar display (day, month, date) and moon phase indicator.
Perhaps most striking about the new watch is the half-hunter case back which opens to reveal the beautiful hand-engraved movement. The screw-down sapphire case back is snugly covered by the half hunter cover. The half hunter case cover featured an engine-turned pattern on the inside – rendering its inside as attractive as the movement is covers. The watch is also engraved with its name and its number in the series.
The Blancpain Madison Avenue is powered by a caliber 6763 and at 12.40 mm in overall thickness, the watch is water resistant up to 80 meters. The 10 white gold pieces retail for $25,500 and the 10 red gold pieces retail for $24,900. Both watches come with matching Florida alligator straps and deployant buckles that match the watch case.
