Bell & Ross has launched the BR-X5 Blue Lum, a limited-edition watch with a striking focus on luminescence and bold design. Following the success of last year’s BR-X5 Green Lum, this new model features a blue light emission that sets it apart. Only 500 pieces will be available.
The BR-X5 Blue Lum comes with a 41mm case that uses a mix of Grade 2 titanium and a newly developed luminescent material called LM3D. This material, made from quartz fibers, allows the case to emit a powerful blue glow in low-light conditions. Its architecture prioritizes lightweight durability, a nod to Bell & Ross’s connections with the aeronautical industry.
This watch emphasizes legibility both during the day and at night. The matte black dial, paired with a sapphire crystal, provides high contrast, while the hands and indices are coated with Super-LumiNova for maximum visibility in dark settings. A power reserve indicator and a date window round out the features on the dial.
Powered by the BR-CAL.323 automatic mechanical movement, the BR-X5 Blue Lum promises high precision, with a 70-hour power reserve and COSC chronometer certification.
Bell & Ross continues to push boundaries in design and functionality with the BR-X5 Blue Lum. It is a well-crafted, high-performance instrument that blends cutting-edge materials with practical features. The bad news? First, I love it. Second, this lovely beast costs a hearty $13,300 so maybe sell a bunch of non-superlume pieces to buy it?
