It’s been many a month since we’ve had WT Author on our pages. When they were starting up, we actually…
WT Author is one of those brands that I’ve been pleasantly surprised to run across. They have been creating watches unlike what we had seen prior (at least in the modern era of watches), and they have an overarching plan (and timeline) for how their total collection will play out. We saw it start off with the WT Author 1905 (link), then move on to the 1914 (link), and most recently, the 1929 (link). While we had been able to provide hands-on impressions of the latter two models, that first had been limited to just the pictures we had seen, and viewing it through the lens of the design cues that carried forward onto the subsequent models. As fortune would have it, we were able to work with WT Author to have a WT Author 1905 sent over, so let’s travel back in time and have a look at what it offers.
Often, when I talk about new brands that we have been building a relationship with, I talk about looking forward…
WT Author is one of those brands that I have been pleasantly surprised to run across. Along with some rather unique styling (as shown on the WT Author 1905), there is an overarching storyline that accompanies that watches; this is something we explored a bit with our review of the WT Author 1914. Today, we are going to walk through the most recent creation from British brand WT Author. This young company has…
WTAuthor. A small, hand-made, hand-assembled watch shop in Shropshire, England. It all sounds so proper. It’s a lie. The WTAuthor…
Just about a year ago, we brought you word of a new British brand, W.T. Author, and their inaugural watch, the 1909. At this point, of course, you might think they are overdue to introduce a new model, and that is exactly what they have done. At this time, you can pre-order your own W.T. Author 1914.
Welcome back to our weekly roundup of interesting watch articles from around the web, as well as what proved to be the most popular from our own pages with you, our readers. From the wide, wide, wide world of watches, we have a photographic tour of what a watchmaker saw cross his desk in a day, a review of the Hager Commando GMT, and an editorial talking about why we, well, don’t talk about watch movement accuracy much in reviews. From our own pages, we have the watches of Jacques Cousteau, the review of the WT Author 1905, and the Vilhelm Elemental.
Happy Memorial Day!
