Introducing some new versions of the Victorinox Alliance XS

We here at WWR are, well, guys. As such, we tend very much to focus on watches that interest us, and as such, watches for the women out there tend to get short shrift. Now, some of that is for good reason – just shrinking a watch down and throwing some hearts on it does not an interesting design make. Then you’ve got something like the Victorinox Alliance XS, and you can see what a watch designed specially for the smaller dimensions can be.

Now, I will admit – seeing that the Victorinox Alliance XS does have Swarovski crystals on the dial. But you know what else it has? Super-Luminova for reading it in the dark, a solid 100m WR rating, and a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. AKA, all the stuff we demand for our own watches, just packed into a smaller size.

What these new models are bringing into the collection is a mesh bracelet. We’ve all experienced these, and it’s a great mix of breathability, toughness, and hugging to the wrist. For the two-tone case (with it’s lovely MOP dial) you’ve got a gold-tone bracelet, while the other version keeps things simple with silvery steel (and a white dial) for the case and the bracelet.

Both versions of the Victorinox Alliance XS are available now for a price of $495 for the two-tone or $450 for the all-silver piece. If you’d prefer a more tradtional bracelet, pricing remains the same for two-tone or all steel. swissarmy.com
