If I tell you we have a new dive watch in for review, you get a certain mental picture forming in your head. Or, say we got something in that lays claim to amazing durability, and another sort of picture is set in your mind. This is based both on watches you have (or do) own, as well as what sort of watches you have been exposed to in reviews and the like. Well, get yourself ready, because todays watch will crush, decimate, and otherwise destroy many of those pre-conceived ideas of what a durable diver can be. Get ready to meet the Timemachinist Naval Destoyer.

Welcome back to our regular weekend feature, Watching the Web. In this series, we take a look back at interesting articles from across the wider web of watch sites, as well as highlighting some of the most read articles from our own sites. From our friends in the world of watch writing, we have a smart watch that looks quite like the non-smart watches that preceded it, a bracelet review, and an editorial on watch guys. From our own pages, we have our recent editorial on watch reviews for hire, a reader review, and two hands-on reviews.

Thank you for stopping by to kick off the long holiday weekend with us and checking out Watching the Web, where we find and highlight articles on other sites that we think are interesting. This week, I am going to start off with a round-up of 8 quartz watches that may be worth a consideration, move over to a Swiss made Royal Oak Offshore inspired chrono, and finish up with a warning about forcing the patina on your bronze and brass watches. The other purpose of this post is to highlight the articles on our own site that you found most interesting this week, which were reviews of the Arcane Watch and the CJR Airspeed Regulator and a reader’s review of their own Sapaneva Korona K3 Northern Starts watch.
