Another day, another Kickstarter watch from Canada. This time we meet Valachio, a slim three-handed watch that…
When it comes to the watches that collectors are on the search for, materials can often play a critical role. While that often focuses on the precious metals, there have been an interesting mix of other materials as of late. Some of you likely have experienced a titanium watch, or one with some ceramic on it (usually a bezel), or perhaps even forged carbon fiber. Welcome to April, and the first weekend of the new month. It’s time for Watching the Web, where we take you on a spin through the world of on-line watch sites, as well as highlight some of our most popular posts for the last week or so. This week, we have a technical perspective (as well as some history) on my favorite type of watch, the GMT. We also have a review of Detroit Watch Co watch, and an eBay buyers guide on what is appropriate for the office. From our own pages, we have the Mansfield Automatica One, Eric Singer’s growing watch collection, and the Filson Dutch Harbor.
It’s a brand new month, and that means one thing (generally) here at WWR – it’s time for us to spin up another giveaway. While last month gave you the chance for a mechanical with a lot of calendar-related complication, this month we have something that is much simpler – the very spacey G. Gerlach Kosmonaut.
