Whatever watch it is that we bring in for review, we always make sure to run down the “hard specs” on a watch.  This includes the physical dimensions of the watch, as well as its weight.  For our August 2015 Giveaway, we will be giving away the lightest (at 36g) and thinnest watch (< 4mm) watch I have ever reviewed – the Titan Edge.

When it comes to lightweight watches, if you want it made out of metal, the obvious choice is titanium, and that is definitely what we have here.  For going thin, unless you want a stratospheric price, you are going to end up opting for a quartz movement – again, this is what the Titan Edge has inside.

Given that I am much more used to wearing bulkier watches made from stainless steel, having something as light as the Titan Edge on the wrist was something quite different.  This is a watch you truly can forget that you have on your wrist, as it is not all that noticeable on the wrist.  While there is a lot to like, the strap is the one weak spot that I noted in the review.  Then again, at 22mm, it’s a standard size to replace – just make sure you find something suitably light (perhaps a braided perlon might work well).

Strap aside, this would be a fun watch for just about any collection, given that it is likely going to be quite different from anything else you own.  For your opportunity to win your own Titan Edge, you will need to do two things:

  1. Comment below with what your favorite lightweight and/or titanium watch (that you own, or would like to own).  If we cannot match a comment on this post to your entry in the giveaway widget, you will be disqualified.
  2. Then, head on over here and get your entries in for the August 2015 Giveaway.

Good luck!

  1. I like my Skagen TI watch, but wish I’d gotten it in natural TI rather than black, as I think it’d’ve worn a bit better.

  2. Honestly, If I wanted to own a titanium watch, it would have to be either the Seiko Titanium Watch or one from Bering.. not any in particular. That said, it would be cool to see how it feels, I’ve heard that they don’t feel cool against the skin like metal watches do.

  3. Just bought a mechanical Seiko Credor GBAQ985. For those who haven’t checked out Seiko Credo, don’t be put off by the “Seiko” brand. The Credo line are superb in finishing and rivals the Swiss easily. Absolutely value for money. The only bad thing about Seiko is the branding but hey, why pay a premium just to pay for various brand ambassador to “validate” the watch?

  4. I’m looking forward to the COURG titanium watch (end of 2015) but meanwhile this one looks great as well as a dressier option!

  5. Something like this might stop my boyfriend complaining/fiddling with his clunky watch. Plus I love the look of it–really sleek.

  6. This watch looks cool! I want one! Pick me!
My favorite lightweight watch is Jaeger-LeCoultre Hybris Mechanica 11, but this seems like just a fantasy, I have to be Bill Gates to own one. 😛

  7. Great looking piece! As a beginner collector would love to own one, although unfortunately out of my price range for the time being.

  8. I think men’s watches look magnificent on a woman’s wrist and I would be very proud to wear this gorgeous one!

  9. This is a unique watch and one that I would enjoy wearing. I used to have a titanium watch; it was a Tissot, but it was stolen 🙁

  10. Very nice looking watch would love to wear that! The only titanium watch I own currently is a great little Seiko titanium simple nice looking watch and light as a feather!

  11. Such a unique piece. I love it!

I don’t currently own a titanium watch, but love the lightweight wood watch I own. It is much better suited for a casual day at the beach, where this would be perfect fully suited up!

  12. I have Seiko Kinetic Titanium which brought 20 years ago and It still working now. The color of my titanium watch is unique that not like other material.

  13. I don’t own any titanium watches myself, but if I would love to get my hands on the Grand Seiko SBGA011

  14. I think it is worth the extra cost to buy a titanium model if there is a choice. The difference in weight between my Citizen SkyHawk with a titanium band and the model with stainless steel band is significant.

  15. I would love to own a Panerai Specialties Radiomir Tourbillon GMT Titanium Watch but for $127K, it’s a little too rich for my blood 😛

  16. Titan Edge would be a great quartz titanium watch to add to the collection, but if I could choose any titanium watch?… The H. Moser endeavor Perpetual in Black Titanium!

  17. I have a titanium watch I enjoy right now, but I’d love to add another one! Just watch out for the scratches, titanium is a scratch magnet.

  19. Beautiful futuristic looking watch I would feel so sofisticated if I was lucky enough to win and wear it proudly..

  20. An absolutely perfect watch….I often have to wear work gloves and a thinner more durable watch won’t get jammed up in my gloves….no more late lunches, lol

  21. My next watch purchase will probably be the Movado
Bold Matte Black Dial Titanium, but now I will add this one to my list to compare first.

  22. I love this watch, I’m one of the few people that still finds a watch useful to complete your outfit. Everyone knows the time by looking at their smart phone, but its not the same.

  23. Since I don’t own a titanium watch, nor does my husband, I would have to say this would be the watch I would like to own. Then, of course, it would become my favorite!

  24. I don’t own a titanium watch, however I’ve been looking at the Tissot T-Touch titanium analog/digital watch for my husband. It certainly is not as thin as the Titan Edge, nor as attractive or (obviously) not as lightweight. After seeing this watch, It’s time to change my game plan!

  25. While I currently do not own a titanium watch, this post has inspired some research and product comparisons. In my search however, this watch still leads in aesthetics and functionality.

  26. I don’t know squat about any other titanium watches so this Titan Edge would be the one I would want, I think it’s probably the coolest watch I’ve ever seen~
