Thanks for stopping by for our regular Sunday feature, Watch Video Rewind, where we point you to watch related videos that may be of interest. This week, I have a few scenes of iconic watches, or iconic scene revolving around watches, from various movies.
Any list of movie scenes revolving around watches has to include the watch scene from Pulp Fiction, where Christopher Walken tells a young Bruce Willis (or at least the actor playing a young Bruce Willis) how he and Willis dad kept his gold watch safe during 7 years in a Vietnamese prison camp.
Of course, no list of watches in movies would be complete without a compilation of watches from The 007 Series. Bond has had more than a few rather nicely – modified – wrist watches, including the iconic Rolex and Omega watches, but also a few other brands as well.
OK, it isn’t a wrist watch, but the musical pocket watch does play a pivotal role in the final gunfight in For a Few Dollars More, the fantastic spaghetti western by Sergio Leone and starring a young Clint Eastwood.
Of course, it isn’t always the hero with the watch, but it still pays to have an encyclopedic knowledge of wrist watches if you are going to be involved in international espionage.
That’s it for this week’s watch video rewind. If you stumble across any interesting watch (or time) related videos out there, drop us a line. If we end up using it from your suggestion, we’ll be sure to tip our hats (electronically, if not literally) in your general direction.
